Fees, Payments, Cancellation & Refund Information

Mauli Classes · version 1.0-draft · effective 2026-10-14Draft — under review

Draft for review — not yet in effect.

This page is not yet in effect. It will be reviewed by our lawyer before it is published.

Who runs the class

Mauli Classes is operated by Rani Mayur Gaikwad as an individual tuition/coaching provider. In this page, "the Teacher" means her.

How you learn about the fees

  • Mauli Classes tells each family the fee structure on WhatsApp.
  • The fee details for your child are also visible in the Parent app: the fee for each period, any discount or concession, what has been paid, what is still due, the due date and the status.
  • Fee records are visible to the Teacher and to linked parents who have given consent. Students do not see fee records.

What is charged

  • Mauli Classes currently charges no admission fee and no registration fee.
  • There is no separate material, books or Study Material fee. Notes, worksheets and other Study Material shared in the app are part of the tuition and do not cost extra.

Paying fees

  • There is no online payment. You cannot pay in the app. The app does not collect or process card, bank account or UPI details, and it does not use any payment gateway or app-store billing.
  • Fees are paid to the class outside the app, for example in cash, by UPI, bank transfer or cheque.
  • Mauli Classes does not accept advance payment for future billing periods. You pay only the fee that currently applies: the current period's fee, or an earlier fee still due. You can pay it in parts. A fee for a later period can be paid once it applies.
  • A payment is never more than what is still due on that fee, and no extra amount is kept as a credit for later.
  • The Teacher records each payment in the app. The app then shows a payment history with the date, the period, the amount and, if recorded, how it was paid. The payment method shown is a label for the record only.
  • A recorded payment is not deleted. If a mistake is made, it is marked as void with a reason, so the history stays clear.

If a fee record looks wrong, please tell the Teacher so she can check and correct it.

When fees are due

  • Fees are generally due on the 10th of each month.
  • A different due date may apply to your family or your child's fee plan if it has been agreed with the Teacher. The due date that applies to you is shown in the Parent app.

Reminders

  • The Parent app shows a fee reminder shortly before the due date, on the due date, and shortly after it if the fee is still unpaid.
  • Reminders appear only inside the app. They go only to linked parents with an active consent, never to students. We do not send fee reminders by push notification, text message or automated WhatsApp message.

No late fee

There is no late fee, no interest and no hidden charge for paying late. If a fee is unpaid after its due date, the app simply shows it as overdue.

Sibling discounts and concessions

  • A sibling discount or another concession may be given at the Teacher's discretion. It is never automatic, and one family's discount does not create a right to a discount for anyone else.
  • Each discount or concession is recorded in the app for the fee it applies to. You see its amount and the resulting fee in the Parent app.
  • If a charge is shown as waived, that is a record of a decision about that one charge. It is not a promise that any other charge, student or month will be waived.

Missed classes

If a student misses a class, no replacement class is owed automatically. Notes or homework may be shared where possible. The Teacher may approve an exception.

Classes cancelled by Mauli Classes

Where reasonably possible, a class cancelled by Mauli Classes will be rescheduled.

Leaving the class

  • Parents are requested to provide 15 days' advance notice where reasonably possible when discontinuing classes.
  • This is a request, so the Teacher can plan. It is not a penalty, there is no charge for leaving without notice, and no fee is kept because notice was not given.
  • Please tell the Teacher directly, or use the Support form in the app or on our website.
  • Leaving the class does not by itself change the refund rule below.

Refunds

When you can ask for a refund

  • A refund may be requested only within the first 7 calendar days from the student's first attended class. The day of the first attended class is day 1. For example, if the first attended class is on 1 June, you can ask for a refund up to and including 7 June. A request made on 8 June is outside this 7-day period.
  • What counts is the day you first ask for the refund (for example, the day you tell the Teacher or send the Support form), not the day the refund is worked out or paid.
  • Leaving and later coming back to the class does not start a new 7-day period.
  • If you have any concern about the class, please raise it with the Teacher during that first week, so it can be discussed while a refund is still possible.
  • After that 7-day period, fees are non-refundable, except where applicable law requires otherwise. This does not affect any right you have under the law that cannot legally be excluded.

How much is refunded

Within the 7-day period, you receive the unused portion of the fee you paid for that fee period, after deducting the classes the student has already attended. The calculation is:

  • the per-class amount is the fee for the period (after any discount or concession) divided by the number of classes planned for the student's batch in that period;
  • the deduction is the per-class amount multiplied by the number of classes the student attended in that period;
  • the refund is the amount you paid minus that deduction.

For example (the figures are only an illustration): if the fee for the month is 1,200 rupees and 12 classes are planned, the per-class amount is 100 rupees. If the student attended 2 classes, the deduction is 200 rupees and the refund is 1,000 rupees.

No other deduction is made: there is no penalty, administrative charge, admission deduction or material deduction. If a refund ever differs from this calculation, for example because the number of planned classes could not be counted, the reason will be explained to you and is written with the refund record.

The Teacher tells you the calculation before the refund is made, and the refund and its calculation are then shown in the Parent app.

How to ask for a refund

  • Tell the Teacher, or use the Support form in the app or on our website and choose "Fees", within the 7-day period. Please include the student's name and the date of the first attended class.

How a refund is paid back

  • A refund is paid back the same way the fee was paid (for example by UPI, bank transfer or cash), where this is reasonably practical.
  • If that is not reasonably possible, the Teacher will agree another method with you, and that is noted with the refund.
  • Approved refunds will be processed as soon as reasonably practicable after approval. Actual bank or UPI settlement timing may depend on the relevant payment channel. [LEGAL REVIEW REQUIRED — REFUND TIMING WORDING]
  • The Parent app shows the refund amount, its calculation, how it is paid back, and when it was approved, sent and completed, with a transaction reference where one exists. We never ask for or store your bank password, PIN, OTP or card details.

No refund is promised in any situation other than the one described in this section, except where the law requires it.

No guarantee of results

The class does not guarantee any marks, grades, ranks, admission or other result. Fees are paid for the tuition provided, not for a particular outcome.

Questions about fees

Please speak to the Teacher about any fee question, or use the Support form in the app or on our website (or write to support@mauliclasses.com).
