Delete Your Account
Draft for review — not yet in effect.
Delete your Mauli Classes account
This page is for students and parents who have an account in the Mauli Classes app and want it deleted. You do not need the app installed to use this page. Mauli Classes is operated by Rani Mayur Gaikwad as an individual tuition/coaching provider.
Leaving the class is not deleting your account
Stopping or leaving classes is not a request to delete an account or information.
- When a student leaves, the Teacher marks the student as having left and switches off app access.
- The class keeps a former student's history, such as attendance, progress and fee records, for 12 months after leaving, and then reviews it (see the Privacy Policy at /privacy). During that time a returning student's record can be reactivated.
- If you want the account deleted, use this page or the app. A deletion request is a separate process, and it is not held back by the 12-month period for former students.
Who can use this page
- A student can ask to delete their own account.
- A parent or guardian can ask to delete their own account.
- Each person can delete only their own account. To prove it is yours, you sign in with your email address and password. Knowing someone's email address is not enough to delete their account.
- A parent who wants their child's account or information deleted can withdraw consent for that child in the app (More → Privacy & account) and send a privacy request. The Teacher handles this through the privacy-request process and will tell you the outcome.
- A Nursery or UKG child has no login of their own, so this page cannot be used for them. A parent or guardian who is linked to the child in the app can ask the Teacher to delete the child's record: send a privacy request in the app, use the Support form, or ask the Teacher in person. The Teacher will confirm who you are before acting and will give you a reference number. See "A young child's record" below.
Two ways to ask
- In the app: open More → Privacy & account → Delete my account, and confirm twice.
- On this page: sign in below with your Mauli Classes email address and password, then confirm.
If you cannot sign in, for example because you have forgotten your password, you can reset it from the app's sign-in screen. Or use the Support form in the app or on our website (or write to support@mauliclasses.com) and the Teacher will record the request for you. She may need to confirm who you are first.
The Support form's "Privacy / Data" category is for questions about your information and for access or correction. A deletion request has its own path, on this page and in the app.
What happens straight away
- Your account is switched off. You can no longer sign in or see anything in the app.
- You receive a reference number (it looks like PR-XXXXXXXX). Please keep it in case you need to ask about your request.
- The Teacher is told about your request in the app.
What is deleted
When the Teacher completes your request:
- your sign-in account and all its sessions;
- your name, email address and phone number;
- your in-app notifications;
- for a student: all homework submissions, the student's comments, the Teacher's feedback and all homework photos;
- for a parent: the links between you and your children;
- the support requests you sent while signed in to your account: your name, contact details, subject and message are erased. The reference number and topic of each request are kept. A support request sent without signing in is not linked to your account; tell the Teacher if you want it removed too;
- names, contact details, comments and feedback in the change history of these records. The history keeps only the fact that a change happened.
Your account cannot be reopened afterwards. If you join the class again later, the Teacher will create a new account. Your old records cannot be restored to the new account after a deletion. (This is different from a former student who left without asking for deletion: that record can be reactivated.)
What is kept, and why
Some records are kept, but without your name or contact details:
- For a student: attendance, test marks and results, and fee records. The class keeps these so its academic and fee records stay complete and accurate. They stay linked to an internal reference, not your name (de-identified, not anonymous). Parents no longer see them, and notes written about the student on them, including the reasons written for a fee discount, concession or refund, are erased. The amounts stay with the fee record. A fee payment's own reference and note stay with that financial record. [OWNER/LAWYER CONFIRMATION REQUIRED: how long attendance, marks and fee records are kept after an account is deleted]
- For everyone: the record of which policies were accepted and which consents were given or withdrawn, and the record of this deletion request. We keep these as evidence of what was agreed and that your request was carried out.
In the class's records, a deleted student appears as "Erased student" and a deleted parent as "Erased parent".
A young child's record (Nursery and UKG)
- Only a parent or guardian who is linked to the child can ask, and the Teacher confirms who you are first.
- Nothing changes until the Teacher completes the request. Until then you can still see the child's records in the app.
- When the Teacher completes it, the same information is deleted or erased as for a student account (there is no sign-in account to delete): the child's name and phone number, homework, photos, notes and notifications, and the link between the child and every parent. In the class's records the child then appears as "Erased student", and the record cannot be reopened.
- Attendance, marks and fee records are kept without the child's name, as described above, together with the record of your consent and of this request.
- Your own Parent account is not affected. If you also want it deleted, ask for that separately; the Teacher will complete the child's record first.
A retention schedule is being finalised. Some records may have to be kept for a minimum time by law. [OWNER/LAWYER CONFIRMATION REQUIRED: whether any law requires a minimum retention period for these records]
Backups
If backups of the database exist, deleted information may stay in them until they are replaced in the normal backup cycle. [OWNER/LAWYER CONFIRMATION REQUIRED: whether backups are kept on the plan in use, and for how long]
How long it takes
The Teacher completes deletions by hand. There is no fixed deadline yet. We aim to complete verified requests as quickly as practical. [LAWYER CONFIRMATION REQUIRED — maximum time to complete a deletion] Your access stops at once, even before that. The Teacher will contact you when the deletion is done.
Other ways we can help
If you do not want to delete your whole account, you can instead ask to see or correct your information, or a parent can withdraw consent for a child. See the Your Privacy Choices & Grievances page at /privacy-choices, and the Privacy Policy at /privacy for full details.
