Child & Student Privacy Notice
Draft for review — not yet in effect.
Hello!
This notice is for you, the student, and for your parent or guardian. It explains what the Mauli Classes app keeps about you, who can see it, and what you can do if something worries you. If any part is hard to understand, ask your parent or the Teacher to go through it with you.
Mauli Classes is run by the Teacher, Rani Mayur Gaikwad. The full details are in the Privacy Policy at /privacy.
Nursery and UKG children
Children in Nursery and UKG do not have their own login. Their parent or guardian uses the Parent account to see the child's attendance, homework, fees, notices and progress, and the Teacher keeps the child's records. There is no step where the child says they understand the rules, because the child does not use the app. The parent's or guardian's consent covers the child. Parents of these children can read this notice to understand what the class keeps about their child. A parent or guardian linked to the child can also ask the Teacher to delete the child's record; the Teacher confirms who they are first (see the Delete Your Account page at /delete-account).
If you are still learning to read
From Class 1, students have their own login. If you cannot read this easily yet, that is fine. Your parent or guardian can read this notice with you, help you use the app, and help you with the step where you say you understand the rules. Your parent or guardian still has to give their own consent for you.
Your parent or guardian says yes first
You can use the app only after your parent or guardian has read our rules and said yes (given consent) for you, in their own account. Until then, the app will show you only the rules and the privacy options. Mauli Classes teaches Nursery, UKG and Class 1 to Class 12 and treats every student as under 18, so this applies to every student.
When you say you understand the rules, that is your part. It does not replace your parent's or guardian's yes.
Your parent can change their mind later and withdraw consent. If they do, you will not be able to use the app until a parent or guardian gives consent again, unless another parent or guardian linked to you has also given consent.
What the app keeps about you
- Your name, and the name you like to be called.
- Your email address, which you use to sign in, and your phone number if you chose to add it. (Nursery and UKG children have no login, so no email address is kept for them.)
- Your class, board and batch.
- Your attendance (present, absent or late), and any short note the Teacher adds.
- Homework the Teacher sets, the work you send, your comments and the Teacher's feedback.
- Photos of your homework that you send.
- Your test marks, the Teacher's remarks and your progress.
- Announcements and messages inside the app.
The app does not ask for your date of birth, your age, where you live, your location, your contacts or your microphone.
Who can see it
- You can see your own records.
- Your parent or guardian, if they are linked to you and have given consent, can see your attendance, homework, photos, feedback, published results, progress and study material. They can also see fee records, which you cannot see.
- The Teacher can see everything in the class, because she runs it.
- Other students and their parents cannot see your records, and you cannot see theirs.
- The companies whose computers run the app store the information for us so that the app can work. The Privacy Policy names them.
There are no public profiles. Nobody outside the class can look you up in the app.
What the app does not do
- No ads.
- No tracking you around the internet, and no analytics tools watching what you tap.
- No guessing about your personality, intelligence or behaviour, and no labels about you.
- No chat with strangers. The app has no chat with other students or with people outside the class.
- No sending your information to an AI service.
- Your name, photo or marks are not used for advertising.
Photos of your homework
When you send a photo of your homework:
- Show only the homework page.
- Keep faces out, including your own, your family's and your friends'.
- Do not show your house, your address, your school ID or other documents, or anything that shows where you live.
- The app removes location and other hidden details from the photo on your phone before it is sent. The picture itself is not changed, so what you photograph is what the Teacher sees.
Only you, your linked parent and the Teacher can see your homework photos.
Study material
Study material from the Teacher is marked "MAULI CLASSES" and opens in a special viewer in the app. It is for your own study.
- Do not take photos or screenshots of it, record it, or share it with anyone outside the class.
- Do not try to remove the watermark or get around the viewer.
Your part in keeping things safe
- Keep your password secret. Do not share it, even with a friend.
- Do not sign in as anyone else.
- Do not post or send anything unkind, rude or unrelated to your studies.
- Do not try to see things that are not meant for you.
- Sign out if you use a phone that someone else also uses.
If something feels wrong
If something in the app worries you, if you see something you should not see, or if you think someone has used your account:
- Tell your parent or guardian.
- Tell the Teacher.
- You or your parent can also send a request from More → Privacy & account in the app, or use the Support form.
You will not get into trouble for reporting a problem honestly.
Seeing, fixing or deleting your information
You and your parent can ask to see the information the app keeps about you, ask the Teacher to correct something that is wrong, or ask for your account to be deleted (More → Privacy & account → Delete my account). Your parent usually makes these requests for you. The Privacy Policy and the Your Privacy Choices & Grievances page at /privacy-choices explain how.
If you stop coming to classes, that is not the same as deleting your account. The Teacher stops your app access, but the class still keeps your records, such as attendance and marks, for 12 months after you leave. If you come back, the Teacher can switch your old record back on. To delete your account, you or your parent need to ask for it separately.
Contact
You or your parent can use the Support form in the app or on our website (or write to support@mauliclasses.com).
